This Position reports to:
Marketing & Sales Manager
As Contract Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Low Voltage Systems (LVS) Marketing & Sales organization in all aspects of contract and risk management, ensuring consistent and effective handling of proposals and contractual agreements. This role defines and implements best practices and guidelines to support thorough and standardized preparation for global risk reviews. Key responsibilities include overseeing the contract lifecycle, managing bid submissions, leading contract negotiations, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance throughout the process.
Location: Global, with a preference for EU countries such as Italy, Spain, Poland & Czech Republic.
Key Responsibilities
Developing project-specific contractual strategies in collaboration with LVS Marketing & Sales, including risk assessments and cost provision planning, support negotiations and management of Frame Agreements.
Overseeing legal review of tender terms and conditions, ensuring updates to the risk review database and active participation in risk review preparation and meetings.
Driving continuous improvement of contract and risk management processes, including tools like revenue split agreements; maintain training programs and contribute to Sales Handbook updates.
Ensuring smooth handovers from tendering to execution of all contracts and risk-related aspects.
Supporting project reviews and lessons learned exercises, identifying contract and risk issues, defining mitigation strategies (e.g. claims, variation orders), and promoting improvement actions.
Acting as primary interface with Legal, Integrity, Tax, and Insurance functions to address project-related compliance topics (e.g. ABAC, trade compliance), and ongoing contractual issues.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of proven experience in contract management, risk assessment, and project tendering/execution within a global or complex organizational environment.
Familiarity with legal frameworks, cost modelling and commercial terms, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle, including project full cost model.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as well as problem-solving skills.
