Lyft is hiring an experienced, talented and energetic Contract Manager to join our Legal team. Lyft is seeking a candidate who can help us achieve our goals by managing a high-volume commercial agreement negotiation and approval process.  The successful candidate will be an engaged and resourceful self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and excellent at building strong relationships with team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute commercial agreements
  • Manage and respond to a high volume of daily contract-related inquiries
  • Assist with audit requests, contract program reports, and contract searches
  • Ability to understand when and how to escalate open items during negotiation terms with leadership, partners and key stakeholders
  • Partner with and advise internal stakeholders on risk and other business matters related to contracts and partnership while establishing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Shape and improve our legal processes that enable both legal and business functions to scale effectively
  • Manage record-keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
  • Assist other teams with projects on an as-needed basis

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility with quantifiable results in contract negotiation, administration and/or management; in-house experience a plus
  • Resourceful self-starter with excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, negotiation, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads, multiple stakeholder demands and ever-shifting priorities all while instilling confidence
  • Proficiency working in a Mac environment, Google application, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Sense of humor and a willingness to dive into new areas
  • Paralegal certification or a JD (or equivalent) is a plus, but not required
  • Legal operations experience is a plus, but not required

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the New York City area is $108,000 - $135,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
