The Role

As we continue to grow, QuidelOrtho is seeking a Contract Manager. The Contract Manager will be Responsible for coordinating efforts between customer and the sales, finance, and legal departments specifically to the creation, execution and processing of financial quotes and private tenders. This job is not eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions. 

The Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with the US Sales Organization, the Contract Manager will provide financial quotes and analysis, revising as needed throughout the negotiation process. Track the status of new offers to measure win rates and cycle times.

  • Create pricing analysis for internal and external review in accordance with Company policies and procedures. When necessary, include the financials of the deal using manually generated Gross Profit Models. Document all exceptions and approvals. 

  • Cultivate a strategic partnership with the Sales Organization, providing guidance on contracting options such as available acquisition methods and effective programs/promotions. Define expectations and align on reasonable turn around times for deliverables. Respond to ad-hoc queries as needed.

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of contracting systems and how they interface with other systems throughout the company where related to contract management and reporting.

  • Strong skills in attention to detail, resourcefulness, and follow- through in the development of customer offers through addressing customer issues in a timely manner.

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written are required in this position. Individuals must demonstrate the ability to communicate via telephone, e-mail, and phone mail to internal and external customers on a daily basis ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of management, including senior management.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead others through established procedures as written, facilitating or personally re-writing procedures as process improvements or business changes occur.

  • Domestic travel is required approximately 6-10 times per year, for specific customer and Sales requests. 

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required

  • Education: Bachelors Degree required or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years business experience required. 

  • Strong project management and high attention to detail to meet timelines and milestones.

  • Strong Analytical and Microsoft Excel skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to achieve objectives in challenging and complex situations throughout multiple levels within the organization. 

  • An aptitude for learning, a willingness to adapt quickly and an enthusiasm to continually improve are vital.

  • Domestic travel is required approximately 6-10 times per year.

  • Proficiency in Excel required; Assessments will used in the interview process.

Preferred

  • Masters or MBA

  • Experience in a tightly regulated industry

Salary Transparency

 The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $58,000 to $99,000 and is eligible for the Global Bonus Plan. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
