We are hiring a Contract Manager based in India to manage procurement contracts across our global offices, including the U.S., India, and China. This position will report to the U.S. office's Legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, drafting, negotiating, and maintaining a variety of procurement contracts with vendors, including technology solution providers, hardware suppliers, and professional service providers such as accounting, recruiting, and marketing. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of commercial contract negotiation experience, with a comprehensive understanding of U.S.commercial contracts and corporate procurement processes, and will have the ability to work independently and in an international team.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts, including but not limited to technology (software and hardware), professional services (accounting, recruiting, marketing), data license agreements, and other business services.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, from initial request through execution, including contract renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide support in commercial negotiation, while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with vendor relationship management and serve as the point of contact for vendor-related contract inquiries.
- Support the preparation of reporting, document management, and other record keeping efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Data Research, Finance, IT, and others) to ensure alignment on contractual terms, obligations, and deliverables.
- Stay current on legal and industry trends related to procurement, technology contracts, and vendor management.
- Maintain and organize a central repository of contracts and ensure all contracts are properly executed, filed, and tracked.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of U.S. contract law and experience working with complex contract terms and negotiations; strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing procurement contracts, with a focus on technology (hardware/software) and professional services (accounting, recruiting, marketing).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for a U.S. entity, or in the financial services or adjacent industries.
- Previous local or international regulatory compliance related work experience.
- Familiarity with data licensing agreements.
- Paralegal certification, LLB, LLM, or JD degrees.
