Today’s agreements for tomorrow’s clarity. Connection through every contract.
Contract Manager, HE
About the role
Passionate about contracts and compliance? Your next role will support our Legal team in keeping our Higher Education contracting engine running smoothly. We’re looking for a detail‑driven and operationally minded Contract Manager who can manage templates, streamline approvals, maintain clean systems of record, and ensure post‑award obligations stay on track. Based in either our Irvine or NYC office, you will be the backbone of our contracting operations and a key partner across the business.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the Legal team, you’ll help ensure our agreements are accurate, compliant, and executed on time. Teams across the organization will rely on your expertise to keep contract workflows moving efficiently. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day‑to‑day you’ll mainly be involved with:
Contract Lifecycle Management
Revising, reviewing, and maintaining standard templates (NDAs, order forms, SOWs/LOAs, and routine amendments) under counsel guidance.
Creating drafts of amendments, renewals, and other modifications to existing agreements.
Tracking redlines and monitoring negotiation status.
Routing contracts for review and approval using playbooks, clause libraries, and defined fallback positions.
Driving timely execution and ensuring clean transitions to post‑award owners.
DocuSign Administration
Owning DocuSign templates, approval workflows, and enforcing signing‑authority controls.
Troubleshooting envelopes, managing bulk sends, and partnering with IT/InfoSec on configuration and record‑retention standards.
Systems & Reporting
Maintaining accurate contract metadata across mTRAC and Salesforce, ensuring consistent linkage to opportunities and obligations.
Building and publishing dashboards for cycle times, execution rates, renewal pipelines, and obligation tracking.
Identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements.
Supporting audits with accurate, reproducible reports.
Post‑Award Obligations
Tracking renewal dates, SLAs, milestones, service credits, and compliance requirements.
Managing reminders and escalations to ensure timely action.
Coordinating with Asset Management and Operations on renewal planning and asset‑aligned obligations.
Training & Enablement
Continuously improving SOPs, playbooks, and checklists based on execution data and stakeholder feedback.
What you’ll bring
Think you could make a difference here? We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about the welfare of our team. You’ll want to make an impact from day one. With big ideas about how to improve our culture and the knowledge to get people on board. You will also have some of the following:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Contract Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
5+ years of contract administration or paralegal experience within corporate legal, procurement, or sales operations (technology/telecom/services preferred).
Hands‑on experience with a CLM or matter‑tracking tool and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, data cleansing).
Working knowledge of standard commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, order forms, amendments).
High attention to detail, version control discipline, redline hygiene, and signature authority validation.
Ability to translate legal/operational requirements into clear SOPs, dashboards, and checklists.
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across Legal, Sales, Finance, and Operations.
Critical thinking capability.
Preferred
Experience with Higher Education or state contracting (renewal cycles, public‑sector forms, procurement portals).
Familiarity with DocuSign and Salesforce (configuration, reporting, workflows).
Awareness of FERPA requirements, privacy laws, data‑processing terms, SLAs/service credits, and renewal/evergreen mechanics.
