Key skills: strong experience in Java or Kotlin (back-end), and comfortable with TDD (test-driven development).

The role:- Work embedded in a cross-functional team with software developers, technical product owners and testers all working together towards common goals to develop JVM applications using Test Driven Development and Pair Programming
- Drive the design and implementation of our systems, knowing the context and why we are implementing what we are implementing, whilst always looking to improve our systems and ways of working
- Mentor and coach other members of the department
- Extensive knowledge of Java or Kotlin programming languages (5 years+)
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in a cross-functional, agile development team
- 3+ years practical experience in test driven development and an interest in pair programming

Skills Required
- Extensive experience with Java or Kotlin programming languages, with 5 or more years of experience
- Strong backend engineering experience
- At least 3 years of practical experience with Test-Driven Development
- Hands-on experience working in a cross-functional Agile development team
- Experience or interest in pair programming
- Ability to work onsite in Leeds two days per week
