Job Description:The Contract Expert will be responsible for leading, managing, and executing the full contract lifecycle for ACE Money Transfer across all jurisdictions. This includes expert-level drafting and negotiation as well as operational contract administration work.Key Responsibilities:1. Contract Drafting, Negotiation & Legal Advisory (Expert-Level Tasks)
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, bank partnership agreements, SLAs, SaaS agreements, consultancy agreements, employment-related agreements, and NDAs.
- Draft and review terms and conditions for ACE products, services, platforms, and campaigns, ensuring clarity, enforceability, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide written and verbal legal opinions on contracts, including risk allocation, indemnity, limitation of liability, IP ownership, data protection clauses, cross-border contracting, and regulatory implications.
- Develop, refine, and maintain standardized contract templates (e.g., vendor, banking partner, consultant, NDA, T&Cs) to support consistent and efficient contracting across the Group.
- Support ACE Group entities (UK, Ireland, Pakistan, Europe) in contract structuring, contract due diligence, and review of counterparty paper.
- Assist the Manager – Corporate Governance & Legal Affairs in drafting and reviewing internal policies and procedures that relate to contracts and governance
- Collaborate with Operations, IT, HR, Marketing, Compliance, Finance, and Product teams to align contract terms with business requirements and operational realities.
- Implementing and supporting the transition to ACE’s centralized contract repository.
- Uploading executed contracts and entering accurate metadata, including:
- Effective dates
- Expiry and renewal dates
- Auto-renewal terms
- Contract parties
- Jurisdiction
- Contract value or key commercial terms
- Maintaining the contract repository with correct indexing, categorization, version control, and audit trail.
- Proactively tracking renewal and termination dates and notifying relevant departments well in advance.
- Maintaining logs of active, in-process, expired, terminated, or renegotiated contracts.
- Managing contract documentation, summaries, and archives to support regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Serve as the central point of contact for all contract-related queries across departments.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, clarify requirements, and secure approvals on contract drafts and deviations.
- Prepare periodic summaries/trackers on contract status, renewals, and key risk points for reporting to the Manager – Corporate Governance & Legal Affairs and senior management.
- Support internal and external audit teams through contract documentation, version control evidence, and timely record retrieval.
- Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and commercial advisory, corporate litigation, policy drafting, and terms and conditions drafting—ideally in a fintech, banking, or multinational environment.
- Strong legal drafting and analytical capability.
- Experience with contract management systems (Jira, SharePoint, CLM tools).
- Skilled in managing both complex legal agreements and operational contract lifecycle tasks.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
