B&W Canada is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Contract Analyst. This role comes with training and mentorship. Job Description Summary
The Contract Analyst provides services to all business units and B&W entities. The primary emphasis of this role includes commercial and contract review, as well as overall proposal and contract support services, both domestic and international. You will review all types of contract documents including NDAs, teaming agreements, customer terms, vendor terms, change orders and settlement agreements, as well as support dispute resolution, where necessary. All this is supported by Senior Counsel.
Specific Duties
- Supports proposal activities, including review and editing of commercial documents, participation in negotiations with customers and vendors in all manner of sales/purchasing efforts.
- Facilitates contract execution matters, including providing contract support in connection with claims, mediations, arbitrations and litigation, as well as providing day-to-day guidance and support to the proposal and project teams.
- Drafts, reviews and negotiates memorandums of understanding, letters of intent, limited notices to proceed, non-disclosure agreements and ancillary contract documents.
- Identifies and supports process improvements.
- Conducts training for employees on commercial/contract subject matter.
Education and/or Relevant Experience
A Bachelor of Laws or paralegal training is an asset but not a requirement for the job. Would prefer 5-7 years of experience which includes domestic and international contract experience and/or other related or transferrable experience.

Compensation is $85,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year and is determined by experience.
Skills Required
- 5+ years of domestic and international contract experience
- Degree in business administration or finance
- Legal degree (JD)
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, NDAs, LOIs, MOUs and ancillary contract documents
- Experience providing contract support in claims, mediations, arbitrations, and litigation
- Detail oriented and accurate
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and manage conflicts
- Confidentiality, judgment, communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
