JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of a Contract Analyst is to analyze and enter managed care contract terms into the PARA Data Editor (PDE) for Pricing, Reimbursement Analysis, and Patient out of pocket quotes for services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:
- Entering terms of payer contracts into proprietary web tool
- Interpreting contract reimbursement terms for hospital and professional medical services
- Email and telephone contact with clients to resolve questions and issues regarding contracts
- Comply with privacy laws and our client’s needs
- Attend client meetings
- Overcome obstacles by using effective information gathering and problem-solving methods
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be able to read and understand a managed care contract
- Familiarity with DRG, HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10 and Revenue Codes
- Knowledge of how to operate basic computer functions, including Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic in order to analyze contract terms and understand how to apply contract rates
- Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess good customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work efficiently, in an organized fashion, to meet project deadlines
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education & Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with healthcare providers or the healthcare segment, preferably in Patient Financial Services
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable work history
- Must have achieved a High School Diploma or GED
Competencies:
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently to solve problems or escalate when necessary.

The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions is required. Incumbents may experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines.
