Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking a Contract Analyst for our Contracts team based out of our Calgary, AB location. Reporting to the Director, Contracts, this position exists to liaise between internal business units and external parties to enable the review and response, in accordance with CEDA’s policies, procedures and guidelines, to various commitment and contractual documents across client, supplier, corporate and facility categories.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and revise (red-line) a variety of contracts and external commitment documents to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain contract records, legal matter tracking, document execution, and ownership of contract management systems and databases.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external parties to facilitate contracts from initial intake through execution and implementation.
  • Coordinate the review, execution, and system upload of contract administration documents, including amendments, certificates of insurance, and other supporting documentation.
  • Maintain and update standard contract templates, guidelines, and related documentation.
  • Ensure all contractual commitments receive the appropriate approvals and proactively follow up or escalate outstanding items as required.
  • Prepare periodic status reports and support the implementation and communication of contractual obligations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Role Specifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Corporate Legal or Contracts department in the Energy industry.
  • Legal Assistant status (or equivalent recognized legal administrative designation) with demonstrated experience supporting, contracts, legal and/or regulatory processes
  • Confident and dependable professional with strong initiative and an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency or aptitude for database management to administer Sharepoint and filling requirements
  • Excellent customer service focus and easily adapts to changing work environments

Skills:

  • You have a natural propensity towards accountability and ensuring that documentation is in compliance with related corporate governance, policies and guidelines
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and problem solving skills with an ability to meet strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • You are highly motivated and proactive; eagerly accepting new challenges and adaptable to a changing workscope and pace

Skills Required
