As a Contract Administrator – Manager Level 2 located in Hanover, MD, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. While the position is located at the Hanover, MD location, the Contract Administrator - Level 2 will also support sites located in Devons, MA and East Hartford, CT with occasional travel to those locations

The successful applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's contracts organization and will have overall contracts management responsibilities for the business area. This position will be a direct report to Contracts Director and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the program directors, managers, business managers, operations manager, capture managers, and other functional teams supporting this business area.
Direct supervision and management of staff personnel of three Contract Administrators located in Hanover, MD and Devons, MA and for providing objective-oriented direction utilizing management guidelines & general policies while maintaining a strong level of engagement

 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ability to build strong customer intimacy and employee engagement is a key priority to assist with this important business area
• Review and approve contractual documents for protection of the company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies and therefore a keen attention to detail is essential
• Plan and execute successful contract negotiations of a complex nature and achieving targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions to assist in meeting profit and cash goals
• Effective collaboration is required with program, technical and operations organizations in order to provide guidance and direction based upon the requirements of the contracts, change management discipline and to ensure timeliness of CDRL submissions
• Offer guidance and work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, supply chain, export and security for seamless contract administration
• Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.
• Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
• Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information
• Other duties as assigned

  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• No clearance required to start

• Experience with Contract Administration

 

 Preferred Qualifications:  

• Leadership Experience, preferably within Contract Administration

Primary Level Salary Range: $127,100.00 - $190,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
