CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE
Michael Baker International’s Construction Services staff supports clients by acting as their trusted on-site agent through all phases of construction, from pre-design to close-out, by providing qualified construction managers, inspectors, constructability reviewers, schedulers, estimators and safety experts. As new technologies emerge within the construction industry, innovative ideas are required to maintain and deliver successful construction projects.
What We’re Looking For:
The Contract Administrator is a specialized role within Michael Baker International’s Construction Services Group, responsible for performing all aspects of contract administration for assigned contracts. This is a staff augmentation opportunity supporting the City of San Antonio, with the selected candidate working onsite alongside City staff.
What You’ll Do:
- Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements.
- Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits and
- supports contract negotiation and reporting.
- Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids.
- Coordinates work of various departments and acts as liaison between company and contractors to implement fulfillment of contracts.
- Takes part in RFP/RFQ analysis; drafting contract correspondence; drafting contract modifications; monitors contract compliance and deliverables; performs contract file management; and initiates and monitors the contract close-out process.
What You Need to Succeed:
- 4 years of relevant contracting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or contracting experience in lieu of degree
Compensation
The approximate compensation range for this position is $78,000 to $112,000. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
