Job Title: Continuous Improvement Manager
Division: Advanced Materials
Location: Panyu
Reports to: Site Director
Department: Continuous Improvement
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Primary Scope:
As key member of the Site Leadership Team, effectively lead and facilitate the site continuous improvement activities and develop ongoing improvement opportunities as defined by the business and site stakeholders' requirements. He/she will also coordinate the sites strategic decision-making processes and:
- Be the expert in Operational Excellence and contribute to APAC business.
- Develop and maintain Operational Excellence tools.
- Liaison with global Operational Excellence team, organize regional program align with global requirement.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of APAC X-Matrix along with functions and key stakeholders.
- Develop site continuous improvement program to support the execution of global business strategy.
- Develop reginal productivity improvement program. Lead the implementation activities with rotating tactical plan.
- Provide support in business projects implementation.
- This role has limited direct reports but is responsible for influencing all members of the site leadership team (including the site director) when defining and implementing the site strategic plan.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor, major in chemical or industrial engineering.
Experiences:
- 5yrs above experience in manufacturing, preferably in chemicals or relevant industrial.
- Held various roles in operation.
- Certified as Six-Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt.
- Prefer of experience in multi-national organization.
Know-how/skills
- Strong influencing and communication skills.
- A passion for manufacturing.
- Fluent English in speaking and writing
- The ability to question and challenge existing perceptions.
- Awareness of Lean principles
- The ability to motivate and inspire.
- Excellent project management skills
- A rigorous approach to the setting and delivery of agreed targets
SPECIAL FEATURES
•This role will also have significant contact with the business operational excellence organization and will be expected to work closely with global operational excellence leader of manufacturing, supply chain, and the technical supporting team.
•The person will be working on multiple tasks at any one time spread across all functions of the organization.
•This role is defined as a key role for anyone wishing to reach the level of Site Director. As such the successful candidate should be of Production Level, but capable of reaching Site Director level in 3 to 5 years.
•EHS & Compliance: Implementation and leadership of Zero Harm within the CI function. Champion EHS and Compliance programs. Ensure EHS global and local standards are maintained. Engage the workforce in the promotion and achievement of EHS standards and practices, safety culture and mindset.

Skills Required
