About this role:
The Continuous improvement and automation lead realizes continuous improvement by building digital and lean capabilities. The role does ongoing efforts to constantly improve GFO services, processes and systems through continuous improvement method(s) and supports the Global Process Owners in the selection of the right tools, and assists in the implementation thereof. The Continuous improvement lead primarily works closely together with the GFO director, the Global Process Owners, and Service Management support, but also fulfills a coaching role in continuous improvement and change in the rest of the GFO organization.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Be a subject matter expert in O2C -related process & system, establishing and improving quality in the service delivered from the GFO organization to stakeholders across the JET organization through continuous process improvement techniques.
  • Perform root cause analysis on service delivery issues and present analysis recommendations to the management team by applying the ESSAR method (Eliminate - Simplify - Standardize - Automate - Robotize), and consistently drive the simplification, standardization and automation agenda through everyday working and thinking.
  • Be an advocate of excellent governance, compliance and continuous improvement in finance operational performance and being able to coach/implement this way of working/thinking; and supporting the GPO with change management
  • Enable/Optimize system configuration and processes to aid our compliance to effective controls, efficient operations and effective outcomes supporting our Finance KPIs (being able to identify/asses tangible benefits), to continuously improve the process performance with system and process revisions
  • Drive process, technology and robotics innovation by supporting the teams in their day-to-day operations (training and coaching of staff, on-site support etc), including the development and maintenance of process and user-guides
  • Manage the roadmap and assessment of potential improvement issues and the prioritization of improvement opportunities in line with the governance process and in conjunction with Global Process Owners for O2C processes in scope.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a formal service management system to support end users and suppliers alike, also driving down support query volumes through targeted training, communications and the development of self serve solutions
  • Train users and agree training and knowledge transfer strategy with GPO with the help of budget support and HR's learning and development team
  • Support the Global Process Owners in Strategy implementation, by delivering on the business requirements of all systems and process related change (including business integration), this could include the deployment of the mandatory/optional semiannual Workday releases
  • Co-ordinate the communication on GFO service challenges, actions, improvement initiatives and outcomes to stakeholders together with the GFO director and/or GPOs.
  • Remain up to date with technology advancements in the finance systems market and proactively bring new ideas and feasibility assessments relating to continuous development and process improvements, including the identification of robotics improvement initiatives, together with process champions.


What will you bring to the table?

  • Possess a deep understanding of Finance processes (including ERP systems / system suites) and data driven thinker, specifically thinking in e2e and in structures.
  • Experience within a Continuous Improvement and/or automation role and possess the ability to design efficient processes and deliver ongoing improvements, finding the balance between conceptual and pragmatic thinking.
  • Excellent knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (Lean/Six sigma), and having strong planning and organizing skills for self, projects that you participate in and colleagues around you required to contribute to your improvement initiatives.
  • Relevant and recent knowledge on robotics and tooling.
  • Strong personal drive to pursue/create an atmosphere of continual improvement utilizing formal and informal networks.
  • Ability to constructively challenge assumptions and thinking and being able to influence and handle objections with stakeholders and colleagues, and being comfortable around resolving conflicts
  • Presentation and communicating information, including reporting and analysis on KPIs associated with global finance operations (e.g. aging analysis, timely recording of payments, etc )
