The role of the Continuous Improvement Manager - Systems Engineering is to use sound analytical methods, software skills, change management, and communication tools to evaluate our water and wine manufacturing processes, develop business cases around improvements, build governance, and project manage these implementations. As the Continuous Improvement Manager - Systems Engineering you will play a key leadership role in the strategy creation across multiple projects. 

This role will require up to 50% travel both internationally to Fiji and domestically to Paso Robles, CA and Tucson, AZ.

Job Description

  • Lead Supply Chain initiatives focused on driving manufacturing operational excellence with accountability to improve manufacturing processes and quality of service while balancing financial objectives. 
  • Conduct plant equipment capacity and reliability analysis to identify improvement initiatives aimed at increasing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). 
  • Build a manufacturing excellence plan to achieve world-class OEE performance utilizing inputs such as historical data, long range production forecast, available resources, capacity and demand, and constraints. 
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, to drive the execution of key initiatives captured on the manufacturing excellence roadmap.
  • Train and support process owners and operators in the use of data analytics to drive short-term interval process adjustments and controls.
  • Update and provide shop floor visibility to key process performance indicators, i.e., OEE loss reports by cause and data analytics tools.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization, providing training to cross-functional teams on equipment effectiveness, data-driven decision making, short interval controls, lean principles and best practices. 
  • Implement upgrades to existing OEE software (EIT) and other applications with the assistance of our internal IT department 
  • Build and support advanced data visualizations using EIT, Power BI, Power Apps, or similar software 

Qualifications

  • BA or BS preferred in Engineering or Supply Chain Management and minimum 5 years relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing or bottling environment for CPG
  • Prior experience in global business settings with a proven ability to manage large cross-functional projects
  • Strong project management skills with experience in implementing and/or improving manufacturing execution systems and data analysis to drive overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain principles and best practices 
  • Passion for creative, out-of-the-box thinking to develop and vet solutions for the business 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly at all levels of an organization
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Visio 
  • Knowledge in applying continuous improvement techniques and analytical tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Six Sigma (DMAIC) to achieve improved business results.
  • Self-motivated, high-energy individual who can function in a high demand, performance-driven environment 
  • Excellent analytical skills with proven data visualization skills 
  • EIT manufacturing execution system and Oracle ERP experience a plus 

Pay Range: $100,000 - $140,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
