As a Continuous Improvement Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in improving ways of working and fostering a continuous learning mindset in the R&D Programs at Elekta.
As part of the Continuous Improvement Stream within the Process & Tools Team, you’ll work closely with teams across both hardware and software to help them improve how they deliver. You will also play a vital role in the development and support of tracking and analysis tools to visualise work and provide data to improve.
What you’ll do at Elekta:
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)
Agile Tooling and Ways of Working
- Champion, teach and coach working with our tooling in an agile way, ensuring consistent and effective use across teams while acknowledging relevant context.
- Deliver training, support materials and workshops to promote relevant agile and lean practices and tool adoption across the organization.
- Design and support agile dashboards and metrics to provide real-time insights into flow, forecasting and quality performance, helping teams to improve delivery predictability and quality.
Continuous Improvement
- Help facilitate kaizen events, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and other workshops as appropriate.
- Support metrics to monitor team performance, quality and delivery health.
- Provide guidance on feedback loops and retrospectives to foster a culture of continuous learning at team and stream level.
Digitalization Leadership
- Champion new tooling initiatives across the Product and Technology organization in alignment with R&D management.
- Work with functional and delivery leadership to translate operational needs into clear tooling and workflow improvement proposals.
- Identify digitalisation opportunities, including the use of AI tools focusing on automation, to enhance value delivery and improve agile/lean delivery practices.
- Represent R&D in relevant forums related to tooling configuration, delivery process harmonization, and digital workflows.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide expert input to the Process & Tools team regarding tools usage, pain points, and improvement opportunities based on hands-on experience with users.
- Collaborate with the other Streams within Process & Tools to support the harmonization of tools and processes, ensuring alignment with agile and lean principles.
The right stuff:
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes, effectively driving collaboration, influencing decisions, and managing conflicts throughout change initiatives.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Availability for international travel (~25%) to support global teams and initiatives as needed
What you bring:

- Demonstratable experience teaching and coaching teams and streams in agile/lean approaches and culture.
- Proven track record of driving and supporting tooling initiatives in an agile/lean environment.
- Degree in Digital Technologies, IT, or a related discipline, or proven ability to work within these areas.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in agile work environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Jira is a must, including configuration and workflow optimisation.
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital tools landscape for product development automation.
- Certifications in agile and lean methodologies (e.g., SAFe, ScrumMaster) preferred.
