Job Description:

  • Identify, document, and implement risk, response, recovery, and resumption plans and ensure plans are appropriately integrated and coordinated across the healthcare enterprise;
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a systemwide business continuity program;
  • Lead a team of caregivers responsible for partnering with operational and clinical stakeholders to develop continuity plans and capabilities across the healthcare enterprise;
  • Identify gaps in continuity planning and recommend enhancements related to new and existing service lines, markets, and workflows based on a broad view of the organization;
  • Improve resilience and close gaps in the organization’s ability to respond to, recover from, and sustain operations during disruptions or disasters that may impact safety, quality, and access;
  • Work with other members of the Emergency Management team to lead continuity and disaster planning improvements through setting the overall vision and strategy for the organization;
  • Develop and support the implementation of shared goals for disaster and continuity planning;
  • Monitor and evaluate continuity planning outcomes;
  • Ensure that continuity planning aligns with disaster recovery efforts related to affiliate entities such as SelectHealth, related departments such as Care Transformation/Information Systems and Supply Chain Organization, and other stakeholders;
  • Develop emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, and temporary shut-down of non-critical departments;
  • Develop disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets, such as data centers;
  • Test documented disaster recovery strategies and plans;
  • Review existing disaster recovery, crisis management, and business continuity plans;
  • Build capabilities to reestablish operations from various types of business disruptions; and
  • Conduct and oversee contingency plan integration and operation. 

Position may telecommute from any state in the United States except California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and Washington.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of healthcare data analytics, including collecting, combining, assessing, and evaluating data, trends, and external factors to improve organization resilience.
  • Knowledge of SQL to query and extract data from databases.
  • Knowledge of business continuity and emergency management principals
  • Knowledge of business analytics tools that support simulating and modeling scenarios to assess impact on healthcare business operations.
  • Knowledge of project management in healthcare environments. 
  • Knowledge of financial forecast analysis, risk analysis, and downtime costs and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement and Process Improvement in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of grant writing and grant implementation.
  • Knowledge of operations management, policy, and compliance in healthcare environments.

Salary (Annual): $122,000.00 to $132,000.00

Work Location: 383 W Vine St., Murray, UT, 84123, position may also telecommute from any state in the United States except California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and Washington.

Travel: 40% domestic travel required

Hours of work: Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$50.22 - $77.53
