Position Overview:
Alteryx, Inc. has an opening for a talented Technical Writer to join our Product Management team, focusing on our Intelligence Suite and Machine Learning products.
We are looking for a bright, energetic individual with a robust statistical background to create customer-facing documents and UI copy explaining our suite of Alteryx products as well as the underlying technology.
A Technical Writer on the Alteryx team is responsible for producing and delivering documentation such as in-product help pages, release notes, sample and tutorial instructions, UI copy, and stand-alone guides.
The successful candidate will also be skilled at synthesizing technical information for maximum usefulness to enable our users to get the full value from our products quickly.
What you’ll do:
Works with product management and engineering to create technical and user documents for Alteryx products.
Collaborates with the Technical Writing team to establish documentation processes, set timelines, and schedules, and work with various engineering teams to gather and organize content for each release.
Gather and publish release notes.
Design and develop clear, concise, complete, and correct technical copy for our help site, as well as examples and tutorials for in-product copy.
Works within existing cross-functional alignments.
Participate in team agile ceremonies.
Valued Skills:
We encourage recent graduates with statistical experience from their graduate or undergraduate degrees to apply.
1+ years experience in quantitative research and predictive/prescriptive statistics.
Ability to translate complex technical details into end-user documentation.
Writes in voice and style that is easily translated into multiple languages.
Ability to work across time zones with multiple development and product teams.
Open to suggestions from peer reviews and accepts coaching.
Shows intrinsic interest in learning new technologies and products.
BA, BS, or master’s degree in disciplines where data collection, interpretation, processing, and reporting are critical (actuaries, statisticians, sociologists, mathematicians, economists, scientists, analysts, etc.)
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $68,200 - $112,500. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
