Our Product Documentation Team is looking for a Customer Experience Writer who can help develop the narrative for SentinelOne’s product documentation. They will help elevate our brand voice consistency through collaboration across different teams.
This person will need to be a trained technical writer with experience as a UX writer, marketing writer, or similar.
This position will require working in Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours and some traveling to our HQ in Mountain View, CA
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a product team of designers, researchers, product managers and technical writers
- Offer a content strategy perspective throughout the product documentation process, and help influence strategic decisions across and within products to improve the overall experience and ensure consistency across platforms
- Write clear and concise content across multiple touch points (including micro-copy, emails, and overview pages)
- Align with the Marketing team to help the other technical writers maintain and evolve voice and tone guidelines, help the UX team create a micro-copy style guide, and help evangelize those resources across the company
- Develop new content frameworks, product narratives, and other deliverables that explain your recommendations and help people understand the practice of content strategy, as well as work with the current infrastructure
- Approach all of your work with a global mindset, advocate for language that internationalizes well, and work with our growing translation team to improve quality
- Share your work with other writers and team members, provide feedback on their work, and contribute to the team
Requirements:
- 5+ years professional micro-copy or marcom writing experience
- 3+ years technical writing experience
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Proven ability to collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners
- Strong problem solving skills for all kinds of users, constantly looking to hone execution through feedback.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of email marketing and social channels are a plus
- Portfolio of writing samples
- 10% travel
