Technical Writer, Mid
Key Role:
Write and edit technical documentation, user manuals, and sales and training literature, including Response for Proposals (RFPs). Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience responding to proposals from federal, state, or local entities
- Experience with project management
- Experience with working across functions and teams in a matrix environment
- Ability to ensure that proposals are submitted accurately, thoroughly, and on time
- Ability to gather proposal information from RFPs, documentation, and internal subject matter experts to write a draft response
- Ability to determine proposal requirements by identifying and clarifying objectives within the RFPs
- Ability to produce quality responses to RFPs by following proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and tone
- Ability to maintain records of all proposals submitted and received, including feedback to help improve future proposal content and process
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree

- Possession of excellent organizational and planning skills
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 60,000 to 70,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
