About the Role:

The Technology organization at Finix owns the delivery and customer experience of our product end to end. The Lead Technical Writer will work with our Product team and other cross-functional teams to create, curate, and organize internal and external documentation. Applicants should have extensive experience managing documentation as code, excellent writing skills, and a passion for creating taxonomy.

You Will

• Build tooling and infrastructure for Finix’s Documentation-as-Code environment.
• Collaborate with numerous agile teams to document releases and create external facing content.
• Create and curate documentation to ensure that it is findable, relevant, and up-to-date.
• Become an expert at how the product is used and be able to explain the “why” as well as the “how”.
• Take a holistic view of documentation at Finix and come up with a strategy to improve that documentation.
• Be able to write new material and edit existing content for grammar and clarity.
• Have the ability to independently design and execute large-scale documentation projects.
• Grasp complex technical concepts and articulate them clearly and accurately.
• Experience using the Linux shell, command-line Git, HTML/CSS, and Python.

You Have

• Extensive experience (5+ years) writing, editing, researching, and managing software documentation.
• Previous experience (2+ years) with static site generators and managing docs as code.
• Experience establishing documentation processes used by teams across an organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
• Experience with some degree of frontend or backend engineering technology.
