About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Content Writer to support our Amazon product listings, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) content, and additional copywriting needs across various platforms. This position involves writing compelling copy for Amazon product pages, email newsletters, website content, blogs, social media posts, paid media ads, packaging & print materials, and fulfilling ad-hoc copywriting requests as needed, all with a focus on increasing engagement, conversion rates, and overall customer experience. 

What you will do:

Amazon Product Listings

  • Product Understanding: Study the content plan, product datasheet, and competitor listings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the product.
  • Content Creation: Write high-quality content for Amazon product pages, including:
    • Titles
    • Bullet points
    • Product descriptions
    • A+ Content
    • Gallery image copy
  • SEO Integration: Implement Amazon-specific SEO strategies to ensure keyword-rich titles, proper keyword placement, and optimized readability.
  • Highlight Selling Points: Showcase the unique features and benefits of each product to maximize conversions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with SEO best practices.

DTC/CRM Email and Newsletter Writing

  • Email Subject Lines & Preview Text: Craft attention-grabbing subject lines and preview text to increase open rates.
  • Image Block Copy: Write concise, persuasive copy for 4-5 image blocks in emails, including:
    • Product-Focused: Highlight product features and benefits.
    • Ingredient-Focused: Detail unique ingredients or components that differentiate the product.
    • Promo-Focused: Create copy promoting discounts, sales, or limited-time offers.
    • Blog Highlights: Summarize key takeaways from related blog posts to encourage clicks and engagement.
  • Audience Engagement: Tailor tone and style to suit the target audience, ensuring content resonates and drives desired actions.

Website Copy

  • Homepage & Landing Pages: Develop persuasive copy for homepage and landing page elements to drive conversions.
  • Product/Collection Pages: Write clear, concise, and engaging product and category descriptions that align with brand tone and SEO best practices.

Blog Content

  • Content Creation: Research and write SEO-friendly blog posts to support product launches, brand stories, and industry trends.
  • Engagement: Ensure the blog tone resonates with the target audience, encouraging interaction and social sharing.
  • SEO Best Practices: Incorporate SEO strategies to improve organic search visibility and drive traffic.

Social and Paid Media Ads

  • Ad Copywriting: Create short, engaging, and persuasive copy for social media and paid media ads, including Google, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.
  • Target Audience Focus: Ensure copy is tailored to different audience segments and aligns with platform-specific best practices.

Packaging & Print Materials

  • Packaging Copy: Write clear and persuasive copy for product packaging, including product descriptions, key benefits, and usage instructions.
  • Branding Consistency: Ensure all packaging content is aligned with the brand’s tone and messaging guidelines.
  • Print Collateral: Develop copy for brochures, product inserts, and other print materials to support product launches and promotions.

Ad-Hoc Requests:

  • New Types of Copy: Handle new types of copy requests as they arise, depending on evolving business needs or marketing strategies.

Who you are:

  • Strong writing abilities: Exceptional grammar, research, editing, and fact-checking skills.
  • SEO Knowledge: Experience with SEO strategies, particularly for Amazon listings.
  • Email Marketing Expertise: Understanding of DTC email marketing best practices, including subject line optimization and engaging call-to-actions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to modify writing style and tone to suit various audiences and platforms (Amazon vs. email vs. social media).
  • Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and handle quick-turnaround projects.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in product listings and email copy, including proper formatting, keyword usage, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on content to meet client goals.
