The Role

Visit.org is looking for a passionate and ambitious Content Writer to join our remote team. The Content Writer will support our marketing efforts by creating clear, compelling, and on-brand content across digital channels. This role will focus on storytelling, audience engagement, and content that supports brand awareness, campaigns, and growth initiatives. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to come in and be a builder in a start-up tech environment. 

Please note: This is a remote, India-based 40 hr/week contract position that requires working hours from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST

Responsibilities: 

  • Write, edit, and optimize marketing content for blogs, websites, landing pages, email campaigns, and social media
  • Translate marketing briefs into engaging, audience-focused content that aligns with brand voice and messaging
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to develop campaign and evergreen content
  • Conduct research to ensure accuracy, relevance, and consistency across all materials
  • Apply SEO best practices to improve content performance and visibility
  • Proofread and edit content to maintain quality, clarity, and tone consistency
  • Track content performance and incorporate insights into future content creation

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or marketing communications
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a clear understanding of marketing audiences
  • Experience writing for digital channels, including blogs, web, email, and social media
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating marketing-focused content
  • Experience working with nonprofits, mission-driven brands, or social impact organizations
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
  • Basic understanding of analytics and content performance metrics
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment 
  • Passion for our mission and the desire to make an impact in the world through technology
