People Inc. is seeking a Content Strategist, Lifecycle Marketing to support the retention marketing strategy for the MyRecipes product. Reporting into the Director of Lifecycle Marketing, this role is responsible for writing copy for all lifecycle touchpoints and shaping the content strategy of our lifecycle program, including content newsletters, push, and in-app notifications. This role will also support in the execution of email and app lifecycle campaigns—supporting a broader vision to nurture the user base, convert users to the app, and upsell into paid memberships all while surprising and delighting them throughout their journey. 

This is a highly collaborative, execution-focused position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong attention to detail, and is deeply comfortable with email marketing, digital marketing and CRM tools.

Remote or Hybrid 3x a week

In-office Expectations: This position offers remote work flexibility; however, if you reside within a commutable distance to our offices in New York or Des Moines the expectation is to work from the office three times per week.

About The Team | The Team and/or Brand.

This role is part of our centralized Growth and Audience Relationship team, responsible for growing direct relationships between our brands and consumers, operating People Inc. brands' newsletter, notification and lifecycle marketing programs. This role operates in service to the MyRecipes marketing team, and is deeply embedded in the MyRecipes team’s day to day operations and business.


About The Positions Contributions:

Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

 Copywriting and Content Strategy: 

  • Write engaging, action-oriented copy for lifecycle campaigns—including onboarding flows, win-back emails, and acquisition campaigns.

  • Own the content strategy of our recipe newsletter with data-driven insights and a pulse on what’s trending in the food space. 

Campaign Execution:

  • Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing lifecycle marketing programs across onboarding, engagement, retention, and paid subscription marketing as defined by the Director.

  • Help coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and workflows to keep projects organized and on track.

  • Handle campaign QA, testing, scheduling, and approvals to ensure flawless execution.

  • Optimization & Learning: 

    • Support and execute A/B and multivariate testing to continually refine messaging across lifecycle touchpoints.

    • Assist in monitoring campaign performance and user behavior to optimize lifecycle programs and LTV. 

    • Stay on top of lifecycle marketing trends and best practices to ensure MyRecipes stays ahead of the curve. 

 Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with brand, magazine, and newsletter to align campaign execution with larger brand business goals.

  • Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders in a timely and solutions-oriented manner.

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, content strategy or email marketing, preferably within a digital product or consumer brand environment.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt to brand voice and audience needs

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage deadlines and coordinate across teams

  • Collaborative, receptive to feedback, and eager to contribute to a fast-moving team

  • Passion for Food: A genuine interest in food, cooking, and digital innovation is a plus!

% Travel Required (Approximate):  5%

Pay Range

Salary: Remote: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
