The Content Partnerships team at X works with rights holders to bring real time video content to the Platform. The team is now looking for an experienced media professional to manage a team of Partnership Managers in Japan and lead our relationship with broadcasters, sports teams and Creators in the region.
In this role you will work to provide strategic consultation to our Customers and help them maximize their efforts around video on X in terms of both engagement and monetization. The right candidate will be expected to quickly master how Amplify campaigns are sold and managed, help evangelize the product to agencies and brands and work closely with our broadcast partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for content partnerships and revenue growth in Japan

  • Manage & develop a team of Partnership Managers in Japan, helping them execute on our content strategy for the region.

  • Work closely with management to define and build out our long-term video and monetization strategy and tools.

  • Build solid partnerships with the video teams at Major Agencies

  • Collaborate with internal sales teams and external agencies to define, prioritize, package, and market Sponsorship opportunities

  • Train our internal sales teams and external agency to sell Sponsorship programs

  • Drive content partners to integrate X into their core media and monetization strategy

  • Evangelize the value of X with high-profile Influencers and Creators to scale active users in Japan

  • Create and maintain the primary internal marketing channels for priority Sponsorship programs

What does success look like?

  • Increased revenue through Sponsorship programs

  • Increased monetizable video inventory through content acquisition

  • Clear articulation of X’s premium content value proposition in market

  • Revenue diversification and growth QOQ and YOY for Japan

  • Seamless cross-functional collaboration between GCP, Finance, Sales, Video, and Sales Marketing teams

  • Supporting Agency and GCP leadership and by streamlining program marketing

  • Be a key contributor to the growth of X Japan.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, but life experience is also valued

  • 8 -10+ years work experience including entertainment industry experience

  • Experience and understanding of media buying and media planning, especially with larger holding companies

  • Experience working on large content partnerships with contractual complexities and restrictions

  • Experience conducting data-driven analyses to drive decision-making.

  • A leader with strong influencing skills

  • A strong understanding of the digital video landscape

  • Deep knowledge of the country’s industry and cultural landscape.

  • Collaborative with a history of working effectively cross-functionally

  • Superior presenter and communicator

  • A self starter comfortable navigating ambiguity

  • Expert in Powerpoint, Keynote, Excel and all the other business tools of business.

  • Fluent-level Japanese and business-level English
