Summary
The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and supporting Allegiant’s brand identity through the successful planning and execution of strategy-based content marketing campaigns, as well as all other activities that support the Marketing Department.
Under the guidance of the Content Marketing Manager, the Content Marketing Specialist is a versatile and creative communicator who coordinates all aspects of Allegiant’s content marketing initiatives, including supporting its multi-platform social media program with original content creation, asset sourcing, and management, partner relations, and digital community management. Additionally, this role coordinates all aspects of Allegiant’s content creator program, including identifying and assessing prospective partners, developing creative briefs, contracting, coordinating travel, overseeing asset delivery, and providing regular reporting and recommendations to optimize content performance and strategy. 

The Content Marketing Specialist will provide cross-functional support inside and outside of the organization and is best suited for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a strong understanding of corporate communication and a passion for creative storytelling. Knowledge of industry best practices and a willingness to embrace emerging trends and technologies are essential. 

The Content Marketing Specialist will be required to work with Allegiant team members across the organization as well as community tourism agencies, athletic partners, and high-profile personalities. In many cases, the position will be required to work with discretion.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education:  Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details:  Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field preferred. A combination of Education and Experience will be considered. 
Years of Experience:  Minimum two (2) years of experience in content marketing or related industry environment, including internships and volunteer experience.

•    Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
•    Strong knowledge of grammar rules.
•    Ability to work with people at all levels in the organization to implement programs.
•    Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
•    Creative, decisive, responsive, able to work independently, and take responsibility for decisions and outcomes.
•    Knowledge of standard software tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Requirements
•    Knowledge of Adobe Creative Software and web publishing tools.

Job Duties
•    Assist in the development of content strategies to effectively reach desired target audiences and marketing goals while promoting Allegiant’s brand identity.
•    Concept, research, create, and publish original and innovative content for Allegiant’s website, blog, social media platforms, and other content marketing channels.
•    Capture photo-, audio-, and video-based assets based on platform best practices and popular trends.
•    Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate complex content shoots and unique content opportunities.
•    Day-to-day management of content creator relationships, including creator identification, assessment, contracting, travel arrangements, and contract fulfillment, including follow-up, tracking, and recordkeeping.
•    Maintain consistent and accurate files on all correspondence.
•    Track content performance analytics and generate reports and presentations.
•    Frequently interact and engage with corporate partner social media accounts and Allegiant followers across social platforms through Allegiant’s branded accounts.
•    Evaluate user-generated content (UGC), secure rights for usage, and manage all UGC assets.
•    Seek out, review, and approve company promotions, including sponsorships and special events.
•    Keep up to date with content trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technology.
•    Maintain consistent, accurate, and well-documented files on all assignments.
•    Support all other Marketing Communications Department functions as needed.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
