Content Marketing Specialist
Overview of the Role
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Content Marketing Specialist to develop engaging content, manage social media, and handle marketing automation efforts for our health-tech organization. This role also provides strategic support to the Director of Marketing in planning and executing the annual marketing strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands modern content trends, can translate strategy into compelling stories, and clearly communicate technical and regulatory-adjacent content to professional audiences.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for web, email, social media, and campaigns.
- Manage daily social media activity, including planning, scheduling, posting, and community engagement across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging – ensuring clarity and compliance (e.g. HIPAA, FDA, MDSAP, etc.), and professional tone appropriate for healthcare professionals.
- Monitor social media performance, track KPIs, and provide insights for optimization.
- Manage the company’s marketing automation tool, including email campaigns, workflows, audience segmentation, lead generation, and reporting.
- Assist the Director of Marketing in planning, executing, and tracking the annual marketing strategy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., product management, clinical advisors, sales, customer support) to gather accurate information and translate technical/clinical details into clear, compelling content.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging platforms, competitive activity, and content best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in content creation, social media management, and marketing automation – preferably in healthcare, health-tech, medical devices, or similarly regulated industries.
- Experience managing marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Act-On, Pardot, or similar).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills – able to communicate technical or clinical topics clearly.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Oktopost, Hubspot, Sprout, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and adjust content accordingly.
- Collaborative communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with product, sales, and possibly clinical or regulatory teams.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology, regulatory and quality controls (HIPAA, PHI, etc.).
