Job Description

CEC Entertainment, the global leader in family entertainment and operator of Chuck E. Cheese, Peter Piper Pizza, and Pasqually’s Pizza and Wings restaurants, has an immediate opening at our Support Center based in Irving, Texas for an experienced Content & Brand Marketing Specialist to join the Chuck E. Cheese Marketing Team. This role will sit on the Brand Marketing team within the Marketing Team but will also assist all team members within the Marketing department, as well as other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Comprehensive Content Strategy: Lead the creation of custom content, copy and / or coordination to ensure a unified Guest message across all touchpoints across all areas of the marketing department and business
    • Including, but not limited to: Blogs, Website Content, Emails, SMS, Push Messages, Inbox Messages, and select Social Media captions
  • Coordination of Monthly Content Calendar:
    • Support ideation of Monthly Content Calendar and lead the coordination of associated content & deliverables
    • Support the Social Media Marketing Team in periodic brainstorming sessions and shot list curation for content calendar
  • Messaging Matrices: Work with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to create a messaging guide for core initiatives, to maintain consistency of messaging throughout all touchpoints
  • Campaign Support: Support the Brand Marketing Calendar through the curation of owned deliverables, including but not limited to: Spearheading copywriting for TV/Radio spots and provide direction for accompanying music, as well as Planogram and Ship List curation, and creative reviews
  • Local Store & Field Marketing Support: Oversee and coordinate single-store and field marketing needs, including, but not limited to: Request intake, ideation, briefing and asset approval.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or Communications (or relevant field) required
  • 3+ years of experience in content development / copywriting preferred, working on the brand/client or agency-side
  • Experience writing scripts for TV and Radio; familiarity with VO, music and commercial shoot processes
  • Prior Experience with CRM and ESP platforms – ability to create segments, utilize a drag-and-drop email editor and other related tasks
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule, prioritize, and manage simultaneous projects
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and influence effectively with all management levels, external partners, and personality types
  • Strong organizational and time management

  • Strong Organizational Skills – this role will be responsible for collecting topics, content and creating content to be utilized in a variety of different ways across multiple consumer touchpoints – it is imperative this person is able to maintain strong organization and structure during the process.
  • Strong Collaborative Mindset – key to this role’s success will be the ability to collaborate with others and take feedback and recommendations with an open-mind. This role must have the unique ability to work openly and collaboratively with a variety of different departments and personalities. 
  • Flexibility – all members of the CEC Marketing Team are adept at change, pivoting and being able to ‘roll with the punches’ – and this role must be, as well. While we do create and foster a sense of structure and stability in our company and in our department, we also pride ourselves om being flexible, accepting and open to change and ready to adjust plans quickly if the business dictates it.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods of time throughout the course of daily activities.

  • The employee is required to work on a computer, in addition to doing paperwork.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed at the CEC Entertainment corporate offices located in Irving, Texas.
  • Position involves encounters with members at every level of the organization, vendors, and members of the public, and requires a sense of responsibility to provide a high level of customer service and accurate information
