Our marketing team is responsible for a wide range of highly impactful digital, social, sponsored, demand generation, and thought-leadership content. We are looking for a proficient and enthusiastic content creator to join the team to deliver demand generation content and get the Vertafore message out in the market.


The Content Marketing Specialist is an individual contributor to Vertafore's marketing and demand generation initiatives by helping tell our story to current and potential customers, industry stakeholders, and more! You'll research relevant topics, craft compelling copy for a wide range of formats, and generate deliverables for demand generation campaigns. You'll also assist with content strategy, SEO, content promotion, and editing new and existing content. This role is ideal for a hands-on creator with experience producing content for diverse channels.


Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

· Create original, compelling content for a variety of channels and audiences, such as thought-leadership articles, whitepapers, web pages, blogs, advertisements, emails, and other materials.

· Ensure work meets quality, deadline, and budget expectations.

· Assist with managing content projects from ideation to publication.

· Facilitate appropriate stakeholder approvals and integrate feedback to ensure content meets goals and expectations.

· Learn and recognize features and benefits of Vertafore products and effectively connect them to key messaging themes in brand-level marketing content.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Proven ability to create high-quality content that aligns to the right audience, purpose, and channel is a must!
  • Detail-oriented with organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize content visually as well as linguistically.
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to new opportunities and requests.
  • Critical-thinker and problem-solver, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of marketing and communication theory and best practices.
  • Experience working with SMEs and thought-leaders to translate expertise into long-form articles, presentations, and other assets a plus.
  • Working knowledge of marketing metrics to analyze data and KPIs to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience with marketing automation technology (ex. Marketo) preferred.

  • BA/BS degree in communication, English, journalism, marketing, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant B2B content creation experience, preferably in a software or technology industry.
  • Experience with project management tools like Wrike or Asana preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with designers/creative teams preferred.
  • Technical writing experience preferred.

· Travel required up to 10% of the time.

· Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as needed basis

· Located and working from an office location (when required)

· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

· Frequent sitting and/or standing.
