About this role:
The Marketing Manager role is part of the Strategic Content team, within the Global Marketing team in GSSO. The Global Marketing team is focused on driving topline revenue growth and increasing seller productivity through high‑impact, scalable marketing programs.
This role is responsible for translating Gartner’s most important enterprise themes, insights, and solution approaches into market‑shaping digital content that executive buyers discover through their natural information‑seeking behaviors.
Partnering closely with Gartner Business & Technology Insights (Gartner’s research arm), the Marketing Manager builds and delivers high‑performing content designed to improve Gartner’s visibility across buyer journeys, perform strongly in both traditional and AI‑driven search environments, and convert engagement into qualified opportunities.
What you will do:
Translate Enterprise Insights into Content Strategy
- Translate enterprise‑wide themes and mission‑critical priorities from BTI into compelling content strategies for C‑level audiences across Global Business Sales (GBS) and Global Technology Sales (GTS).
- Ensure content strategies align to Gartner’s commercial priorities and buyer journey needs.
Create and Deliver High‑Impact Content
- Develop and write high‑quality content across a range of formats, including insight‑driven editorial content, intent‑based messaging, and product and solution positioning.
- Ideate and define the most effective content mix, then produce content at the right time and scale — leveraging AI tools where appropriate.
Optimize for Search, Discovery, and Conversion
- Partner with the Search team within Strategic Content to develop and optimize organic strategies that perform across both traditional SEO and AI‑disrupted search experiences.
- Build content on gartner.com that aligns to top SEO and AI search opportunities and improves discoverability across buyer journeys.
Operate with Quality, Consistency, and Scale
- Fully incorporate Gartner‑approved AI tools into content strategy and creation with appropriate governance and oversight.
- Collaborate closely with the broader Strategic Content team to ensure content:
- Receives adequate promotion across owned channels
- Maintains a distinctive Gartner voice and brand standards
- Flows through content operations with the quality and scale required to meet business needs
What you will need:
- 5-7 years work experience with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility
- 5+ years of experience developing and executing B2B content strategies, including SEO-optimized content and executive-focused writing addressing key challenges, strategies, and outcomes.
- Strong understanding of modern, AI‑disrupted search landscapes (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and technology concepts into clear, compelling language appropriate for C‑level audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree; marketing, journalism or communications major preferred.
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong editorial judgment with excellent writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency using AI tools for content creation, including awareness of governance and quality standards.
- Working knowledge of content marketing, planning, and workflow tools; ability to adapt to new platforms quickly.
- Solid understanding of B2B buyer journeys and how content supports demand generation and sales enablement.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 86,000 USD - 118,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
