What You’ll Do
The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating, improving, and maintaining content across multiple channels to support the organization’s marketing and business goals. This role requires a creative, strategic thinker with experience in digital marketing, SEO, and content strategy who can produce and oversee engaging, high-quality content. The Content Marketing Manager will lead content planning, creation, and distribution, ensuring it aligns with brand voice, boosts audience engagement, and drives measurable results.
- Content Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with the company’s goals and target audience.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and shape the content calendar.
- Conduct regular content audits and gap analysis to enhance content offerings.
- Content Creation and Management
- Oversee all written, visual, and multimedia content production for various channels (blogs, social media, emails, website, etc.).
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and video producers to create high-quality content.
- Ensure content consistency, brand alignment, and compliance with style and tone guidelines.
- SEO and Performance Optimization
- Implement SEO best practices to drive organic search traffic.
- Monitor content performance and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Work with the analytics team to track content KPIs, including traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Cross-Channel Distribution
- Manage content distribution to drive traffic and engagement on social media, email marketing, and other channels.
- Collaborate with social media, email, and product marketing teams to coordinate messaging and optimize content performance.
- Develop and manage partnerships for content syndication and co-marketing opportunities.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of content creators, freelancers, and/or contractors as needed.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and product teams, to ensure alignment on content goals and messaging.
- Drive a collaborative content creation process from ideation to publication.
- Content Innovation and Industry Awareness
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, audience preferences, and best practices in content marketing.
- Identify new formats and technologies that can enhance the content experience and engage the audience.
Basic Requirements
- Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or similar roles
- Proven experience developing content strategies and managing content calendars.
- Insurance industry experience is ideal, but not required
Skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), email marketing platforms, and social media tools is ideal
- Ability to analyze content performance data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
