The Role

Summary

Headquartered in sunny Los Angeles, GrayMatter Robotics is a well-capitalized AI robotics startup serving the manufacturing industry.  We empower shop floor workers with our smart robots that assist with tedious and ergonomically challenging tasks, specifically in automated surface finishing. Our proprietary GMR-AI™ software is integrated with state-of-the-art industrial robots, sensors, and tools to create application-specific turnkey solutions for customers through a Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model.

We help manufacturers improve the quality of life for their workforce while increasing production capacity, and reducing scrap, repair, and rework costs. As a Content Marketing Strategist you will join our Marketing Team in a hybrid setting to create and edit videos, manage social media platforms, and design visual content to enhance brand presence and engagement.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage our social media accounts across various platforms (Linkedin, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute videos that align with the brand's aesthetic and marketing objectives.
  • Assist in on-set video shoots, ensuring all equipment is set up properly and capturing footage in line with project requirements.
  • Capture and edit high-quality video and audio content using professional-grade equipment to create engaging content.
  • Photo editing of new or existing GrayMatter Robotics content through (Adobe Photoshop, Figma, etc)
  • Maintain organized project files and adhere to production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in videography, cinematography, and post-production techniques.
  • Ability to work onsite as needed to direct shots of customer parts

Export Control Requirements

In order to comply with the export regulations of the United States Government, it is required that the applicant must fall under one of the following categories: (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (i.e. current green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or have a BS degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Film Production, Cinematography, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Adobe Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma in a PC environment
  • An existing portfolio showcasing previous work within content creation 
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities and project deadlines
  • Must meet export control requirements in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First hand experience in Videography / Filming, Photography, and Copywriting
  • Strong track record of creating short form content/create a storyboard/market towards a specific audience

Compensation for this position includes the base hourly range of $17.00 - 20.00 USD/hour. The range listed on job postings reflect the minimum and maximum new hire salary across levels in Los Angeles, CA.
