Contract Role: Content Marketing Assistant
Location: Dumbo, Brooklyn (Hybrid or Remote)
Reporting to: Manager, Marketing
Type: Part-time (20-25 hours per week, with flexibility to increase based on business needs)
Contract Length: 3-6 months, with the potential for renewal
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an energetic and creative Content Marketing Assistant to join our team on a part-time, contract basis.
This role is ideal for current college students or recent graduates who are looking to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, specifically for platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
As a Content Marketing Assistant, you will support the conceptualization and development of innovative social media content and collaborate closely with our marketing team. This opportunity requires a proactive team player who excels in a fast-paced environment and can see projects through from ideation to execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Then I Met You’s marketing team to ideate and develop content that supports both brand awareness and sales objectives.
- Stay current with internet trends and pop cultural fads to ensure our content is relevant and engaging.
- Craft compelling ad content with effective hooks to capture audience attention.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for viral content.
- Conduct competitive brand research and analyze social media strategies of competitors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of experience creating engaging content for social media, particularly TikTok.
- Demonstrated ability to accumulate significant engagement on personal social media platforms
- 50K likes on TikTok
- 20K views on personal TikTok content
- Experience in editing and producing 30 high-quality TikTok videos showcasing adept use of quick cuts and transitions.
- Background in the beauty and/or e-commerce industries is highly desirable.
- Passionate about making a significant impact in a rapidly growing company.
- Excellent video editing and acting skills with the ability to creative direct and star in content from start to finish.
- Exceptionally analytical with strong project management skills.
- Ability to identify new trends and potential content areas within the beauty space.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as an active member of a team.
The estimated annual pay range for this role is $18-$25 per hour.
