The Content Marketer will contribute to creating, maintaining, and distributing the bi-weekly healthcare newsletter for our sellers and healthcare leaders. They will participate in writing relevant healthcare thought leadership alongside team members, develop diverse marketing and promotional content that engages targeted B2B audiences, and spark business-building conversations. This position reports to the Manager, Content Marketing and collaborates with other team members to produce impactful thought leadership content.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring the individual to reside within a 35-mile radius of Winston-Salem and report to the office Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Create, maintain, and distribute the bi-weekly healthcare newsletter
  • Write relevant healthcare thought leadership content
  • Conduct comprehensive research on healthcare topics to ensure accuracy and depth in content creation
  • Develop diverse marketing and promotional content to engage targeted B2B audiences
  • Collaborate with team members, subject matter experts, and Inmar healthcare thought leaders to produce impactful content
  • Liaise with content marketers to ensure consistency
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style, and layout
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Publish, edit, and proofread content on inmar.com
  • Brainstorm with team members to create new ideas
  • Stay up to date with healthcare industry insights and generate new ideas to draw the audience's attention

Writing and Brainstorming (60%)

  • Research and compile engaging content for the bi-weekly healthcare newsletter distributed to Inmar healthcare leaders and sellers. Responsible for gathering competitor updates, relevant news pieces, and contributed content, as well as overseeing the distribution process.
  • Collaborate with the content marketing team to produce various materials, such as contributed content, LinkedIn posts, blogs, white papers, and press releases
  • Transform marketing objectives into concise communications
  • Stay updated on cutting-edge marketing strategies: email campaigns, landing pages, lead generation tactics, and content marketing trends
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the content marketing team
  • Craft outstanding and polished copy for diverse communication channels

Strategy (30%)

  • Assist the designated healthcare business unit and collaborate with its Product Marketing Managers to establish a unique positioning for the business unit, products, and messaging within the healthcare sector.
  • Ensure content reflects the appropriate Inmar Healthcare narrative
  • Develop cohesive messaging that supports Healthcare narrative
  • Cultivate an in-depth understanding of target healthcare audiences, products, and markets served
  • Ensure comprehension and compliance with communication and brand standards specific to healthcare
  • Create uniform messaging across all healthcare communications channels
  • Partner with the business unit to devise marketing initiatives that enhance engagement and generate leads within the healthcare sector
  • Identify opportunities by remaining well-informed about evolving dynamics in the healthcare market
  • Embrace innovation by continually exploring new ideas and approaches, resisting complacency, and challenging traditional methods.

Collaboration (10%)

  • Collaborate with the content team to select pertinent thought leadership topics within the healthcare industry
  • Engage and interview internal subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of information being communicated
  • Obtain approval from designated thought leaders on relevant content
  • Coordinate with the product marketing team to ensure alignment of thought leadership content with product strategy
  • Peer review the work of fellow content marketers to maintain quality and consistency in messaging

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field
  • Proficiency in English grammar, writing mechanics, and meticulous citation of sourced content
  • Relevant experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
  • Thorough command of Google Workspace
  • An intimate understanding of content best practices
  • A strong understanding of multichannel marketing concepts
  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas to others
  • Must have industry-specific knowledge: familiarity with agency terminology, processes, and emerging/relevant technology and social/media channels
  • Proven ability to understand multiple audiences and communicate to them directly, in compelling ways
