We are seeking a skilled and passionate Content Manager responsible for developing and executing Crisis Text Line’s content strategy, overseeing the creation, editing, and distribution of content across various platforms like emails, website, blogs, and social media, ensuring it aligns with brand identity and targets the appropriate audience to achieve marketing goals. The ideal candidate is a skilled and passionate storyteller with a strong understanding of SEO and data analytics.

- Support creation and implementation of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Craft persuasive narratives that drive growth across business targets (e.g., donors, volunteers, texters).
- Demonstrate and expertise of various mediums to inspire action, connect with diverse audiences and elevate our brand.
- Write engaging content for marketing campaigns, blogs, articles, videos, social media posts, newsletters, and multimedia assets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments such as philanthropy, public policy and research to align content on campaign strategy and organizational objectives.
- Integrate optimized content for search engines and user engagement.
- Monitor content performance, gathering analysis and adjusting strategies based on data insights.
- Ensure all content aligns with the organization’s voice, tone, brand and values.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional content management and copywriting experience
- Exceptional storytelling ability, with experience crafting narratives that elicit emotional responses that convert to action.
- Ability to write for different platforms (emails, social media, website, print) and adjust tone and style for different audiences (donors, staff, foundations, volunteers).
- A deep understanding of email marketing best practices, and the ability to analyze data to optimize campaigns.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, working efficiently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Familiarity with applying analytics and performance data to refine and improve copy for better results.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure high-quality, error-free content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in script writing is a plus.
Reliable High-Speed Internet Required: Must have a stable high-speed internet connection to support seamless remote collaboration, virtual meetings, online job tasks, etc.
The full salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $67,452 - $80,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location. We pay competitively in the tech-forward nonprofit space and offer a robust benefits package.

Crisis Text Line trains volunteers (like you!) to support people in crisis. With over 70 million crisis messages processed to date, the org is growing quickly, and so is the need.
