The Content Management Analyst is responsible for complex research and analysis of insurance statutory and regulatory materials.
This analysis is used by the Analyst to prepare content that is used in the development and maintenance of our insurance compliance products. All work needs to be performed with a high level of accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
The analyst ensures that all regulatory and legislative content is accurate to the state source of record and is responsible for maintenance of product quality and accuracy through the application of internal content guidelines and standards and is accountable for the development of content style and standards through their analysis of state legislative and regulatory procedures and practices on a state-by-state basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs high-level insurance compliance regulatory research and effectively explains the research in our compliance product content or in response to customer inquiries
Produces accurate and comprehensive production submissions by identifying all regulatory actions within product scope
Responds to complex customer inquiries regarding product content and regulatory clarification often involving contact with individual State Insurance Departments and other agencies and coordinates responses to complex requests
Contributes significantly to the development and maintenance of our compliance-based products
Categorizes regulatory content according to pre-set schema using Web-based and other production tools
May review content developed by others for content accuracy and style
May participate on special projects
Performs reporting tasks of a complex nature
Identifies trends in content areas and translates into new product development and existing product enhancement suggestions
Obtains and applies a working knowledge of current technologies in the specific business unit
Makes efforts to understand customer and market, applies this understanding to enhance products
Develops contacts and build slinks with state agencies and representatives of state legislative bodies
Performs the final quality check on all documents affected by regulatory or legislative changes to ensure that accuracy and content standards are reflected.
Independently develops state style standards based upon their analysis of jurisdictional legislative and regulatory procedures.
Exercises discretionary judgment for all workflow and content related queries from editorial processors.
Documents errors identified through quality assurance procedures and provides specific information on the type, severity and location of the error.
Modifies documents in electronic workflow with a high degree of accuracy and demonstrates expert knowledge of content standards for diverse and complicated legislative and regulatory content.
Performs system testing for workflow or content management application upgrades.
Ensures the integrity of content when data conversion procedures are initiated.
Participates in on-going content standardization projects and content integrity audits.
Provides feedback to off-shore vendors and other departments on quality or technical issues identified in workflow
provides discretionary and final judgment for processing queries received from editorial processors and provides exclusive reports on any work flow or content errors identified in their final quality checks.
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor or project lead
Education and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree - desirable
Strong practice systems development skills and broad computer systems and applications knowledge
Proficiency with Word and Excel computer programs, as well as internet knowledge
Fluency in English is mandatory
Analytical skills
Strong organizational skills
Able to work in a team environment
Flexible and responsive to change
Deep understanding of markets and customer needs
Insurance industry professional designations and/or legal background desirable
