Role Summary

The Content Development Specialist will support the creation and execution of ALX Egypt’s marketing and social media content. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, the role focuses on producing high-quality multimedia content that supports marketing campaigns, community storytelling, and program promotion. The role requires a hands-on creator who can independently produce digital assets including short-form videos, social media visuals, and occasional print-ready materials such as event collateral and flyers. The ideal candidate combines strong storytelling instincts with practical production skills and is comfortable executing content from concept to final output.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end development and production of content for ALX Egypt’s marketing campaigns, community initiatives, and program promotion across social and digital platforms. 
  • Produce platform-relevant content for channels such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including short-form videos, social media visuals, carousels, simple motion content, and occasional print-ready materials that support campaign and brand needs.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to translate campaign goals into engaging creative content.
  • Capture and develop community-driven content, including learner stories, testimonials, and event highlights.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, digital storytelling formats, and new content creation tools.
  • Support content capture and production during events, workshops, and community activities when needed.
  • Ensure all content aligns with ALX brand guidelines and messaging.
Skill Requirements - Essential
  • 5+ years of experience in content creation, digital media, or creative marketing roles.
  • Strong hands-on skills in video production and editing.
  • Experience filming and producing short-form social media videos.
  • Proficiency with video editing tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to create graphic design assets using tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understanding of social media trends and content formats across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and execute creative ideas from concept to final output.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt global messaging to resonate with local audiences.
Skill Requirements - Preferable
  • Experience creating motion graphics or animated social media content.
  • Photography or videography experience using mobile production setups.
  • Experience working with AI tools for content creation.
  • Experience producing marketing content for education, tech, or youth-focused brands.
  • Understanding of performance marketing and ad creatives.
  • Experience supporting social media campaigns that drive engagement or conversions.

Due to the considerable amount of virtual working and interaction with colleagues and customers in different physical locations internationally, it is essential that the successful applicant has the drive and ethic to succeed working in small teams physically but in larger efforts virtually.
