About the Role
 

As a Content Development Manager, you will supervise content development specialists, manage product content, and establish procedures while coordinating with other departments.
 

Responsibilities

  • Managing content development specialists
  • Overseeing skills training of content development specialists at various levels
  • Creating and establishing workflows and procedures
  • Coordinating with other departments and divisions
  • Leading or participating in cross-departmental initiatives
  • Serving as a resource for Operations contacts or vendors throughout production/manufacturing phases
  • Encouraging team to take ownership of projects throughout the process
  • Willing to travel as needed


Requirements

  • Possess proven experience in print or digital workflows, with a focus on Content or Production
  • Have thorough familiarity with requirements for content to move smoothly through print or electronic publishing process internally or with vendors
  • Be able to manage high-profile authors and SMEs and interact with them professionally
  • Have experience in managing multiple, high-priority projects
  • Be familiar with acceptable formats for digital text and art
  • Have knowledge about health professions markets is advantageous
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Possess a BA/BS in English, science, media, or related areas
