Key responsibilities for this role
Quality focus
Accountable for clarity and consistency of content in the information-based industry standards, KONE’ s Learning Material Style and Design Guide.
Accountable for consistent use of KONE learning experience design templates, processes and formats as necessary.
Accountable for addressing the quality issues reported during the active lifetime of the learning material.
Planning focus
Responsible for making work estimates, editing/developing/translating the content, validating content, and publishing the content within agreed schedules.
Accountable for delivering the learning materials as planned.
Collaboration Focus
Responsible for collecting required information from local and global subject matter experts, peers, stakeholders, and people alike, to ensure accuracy and completeness of information, through review cycles, interviews, etc.
When working in a matrix team, being accountable for the matrix team’s deliverables.
Represents global L&D Operations at the stakeholder/SME meetings and act as a global L&D ambassador whenever required.
Customer Value
Continuously collects and understands project requirements and learner needs.
Identifies process and system gaps and propose new/better ways of working with respect to existing process, utilization of resources and systems.
Key competencies and experience
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, English, or communications preferred
5+ years' experience in learning content development or instructional design
Experience with learning material creation including Articulate 360, PowerPoint, Word, PDFs, video editing experience a plus.
Strong written communication and interpersonal skills and English proficiency
Interviewing and information seeking - experience of working with local and global subject matter experts, peers, stakeholders.
Creating simplified and reusable information (for senior positions)
Learning experience design and adult learning principles understanding
Digital media understanding
