As a Content Designer at Roblox, you will play a crucial role in shaping the content strategy and UX writing for user-facing products. Working collaboratively with product managers, designers, and engineers, you’ll help craft compelling narratives and user experiences across our platform.
You'll contribute to the development of cohesive, engaging content that improves our players' and creators' experiences. This role is focused on executing content design at the product level and contributing to process improvements. You’ll have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and influence the design language of Roblox, making a real impact.
You Will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create and refine UX content for our products and features
- Help ensure our products and features are valuable, understandable, and easy to use, drastically increasing our quality bar for craft and execution.
- Contribute to building and maintaining content guidelines, ensuring consistency in voice and tone across the platform.
- Work closely with the design team to integrate content strategy throughout the product design process.
- Define how we work – drive team collaboration, culture, and process, working most closely with UXR and product design throughout the design and development process
- Apply empathy, logic, standard methodologies, technical competence, and data to inform content choices and recommendations.
- Become a trusted partner by communicating and demonstrating the value of content design, and by delivering insights that demonstrable that value
- Use UX writing to improve the clarity, usability, and engagement of our products for players, parents, and creators.
- Help develop processes, frameworks, and patterns that streamline UX writing practices across teams.
- Advocate for the importance of UX writing and content design within the organization.
- Help drive the execution of top-notch UX in a fast-paced, innovative work environment full of passionate experts who get things done
You Have:
- 5+ years' experience in content design, UX writing, content strategy, or a related field.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of content design work, including user interface copy, microcopy, and style guides.
- Experience collaborating with and influencing a diverse range of cross-functional collaborators (e.g., product managers, data scientists, product designers, researchers, engineers, policy, localization, communications, and marketing).
- A solid understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and user-centered design.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present your work to collaborators.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, UX, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$206,370—$245,790 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
