As a Content Designer, you will be part of the Product Content team and work closely with empowered product teams to design solutions that meet our business goals and user needs. You will apply your skills and expertise to develop meaningful, usable and accessible content that shapes the product experience.
In this role, you will work on specific product areas and features, such as designing the future of corporate granting and shaping the way our clients build relationships with non-profit organizations, as well as helping to evolve how content is built into our design systems to drive increased quality and consistency throughout our product experience.
What you’ll do:
- Report directly to a Product Content Manager and be responsible for the content design of your assigned product areas.
- Work collaboratively with your product design, product management, and engineering peers to discover and design product solutions.
- Work as part of the design systems team, partnering with product designers and engineers to shape and implement innovative solutions that increase content quality and consistency. As part of this, you will collaborate with product and content designers across all areas of our product to ensure relevant terminology and microcopy elements are accurately implemented.
- Write, review, and edit UI microcopy.
- Apply a variety of UX content design methodologies as part of your process to discover and design product solutions (incl. research, workshops, content audits, taxonomies, priority guides, etc.)
- Develop and implement content guidelines and standards as well as processes and tools that help us evolve our content design practice.
- Ensure content is accessible and inclusive, being mindful of the impact words and language have on the people interacting with websites and products.
- Foster a global mindset to encourage content creation and design solutions that are relevant and usable internationally.
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent English communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Experienced UX content designer with a solid understanding of user-centered design best practices and approaches to creating usable, accessible UI content and experiences.
- Comfortable working deeply embedded in collaboration with product teams (product designers, product managers, developers).
- Accustomed to creating style guides, standards, content governance materials, content guidelines and working with a design system.
- Familiar with the requirements and processes for complying with current and future accessibility guidelines as documented in WCAG and beyond. Engage with stakeholders to implement and advocate for accessibility best practices.
- Understanding of effective UX content operations and processes within the broader product development lifecycle.
- Experience with content translation and localization tools and processes is a plus.
