Important: This is a 8-month contract role for Ontario-based independent contractors only. Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes, CPP contributions, and any other statutory obligations.
Location & Hours: This is a hybrid position with in-person collaboration required at our Toronto office (Queens Quay West) a minimum of three (3) days per week for the duration of the 8-month contract. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Content Designer to plan and develop engaging in-game themes and items for YoWorld. You’ll create content inspired by fashion, interior design, cultural trends, and player interests, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.
Your work will be designed with player engagement and commercial appeal in mind, ensuring themes resonate with our audience and can be effectively showcased in-game.

What You’ll Do:

    • Concept and develop themed in-game content, including outfits, decor, furniture, and other items.
    • Translate creative concepts into actionable instructions for cross-functional teams.
    • Use AI-assisted creative tools to support brainstorming, generate visual references, and explore concepts.
    • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to maintain theme cohesion and ensure content is polished and player-focused.
    • Contribute to a fast-paced content schedule by applying strong attention to detail in all aspects of content planning and design.
    • Design content with player engagement and commercial appeal in mind, providing context for how it can be featured or promoted in-game.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • Strong creative instincts and ability to generate original, engaging ideas.
  • Experience with AI-assisted creative tools such as ChatGPT, Nano Banana (Gemini), Midjourney, or similar platforms.
  • Passion for fashion, interior design, and visual storytelling.
  • Clear, concise written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with MMOs, online games, or live-ops game systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, so you'll notice we'd like you to mention "Kattegat" in your application.
  • Bachelor’s degree.


Bonus points if you've got:

  • Professional experience in marketing, product, or analytics.
  • Experience designing in-game themed content for MMOs or live-ops games.
  • Hands-on experience creating fashion, décor, or interior-driven content.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-generated concepts to enhance creative workflows.
  • Personal passion for fashion, décor, or visual storytelling.
