Role purpose:
This role includes the creation and management of Iress South Africa's digital and social media channels.
The Marketing Content Creator and Social Media Manager is responsible for developing, creating, and curating engaging content across various platforms to support the Iress South Africa marketing strategies and objectives.
This role requires a mid-level professional with strong copywriting skills to produce high-quality, compelling content that drives brand awareness, engages a technical audience, and positions the company as a thought leader in the industry. Success in this role involves aligning content with business goals and campaigns and effectively telling the company’s story through various channels.

Create high-quality content including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, social media updates, email newsletters, and marketing materials that align with the Iress brand voice and strategy.

Develop content plans and calendars to ensure timely delivery of content across all marketing channels.

Conduct research to understand industry trends, audience preferences, and competitive landscape to inform content creation.

Write technical content that translates complex concepts into clear, engaging narratives for a technical audience.

Collaborate with the design team to produce visually appealing content that enhances the user experience.

Optimise content for SEO to increase organic search visibility and drive website traffic.

Manage and maintain the company’s social media accounts, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring analytics.

Track and report on content performance using analytics tools, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency and alignment with the Iress brand and with the correct tone.

Stay updated with the latest content marketing trends and best practices to continually improve the company’s content strategy.

Align content with business objectives, ensuring it supports overall marketing strategies and storytelling initiatives.

Develop thought leadership content that positions the company as an industry leader.
Qualifications and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience in content creation, copywriting, or a similar role, preferably in a technical or B2B environment.

Proven experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.

Certification in Digital Marketing, Content Marketing, or SEO is preferred.
