THE ROLE
You'll be one of the key creatives behind social content, producing work that makes the brand one of the most engaging and trusted voices online. This isn't about polished ad campaigns adapted for social. It's about content that feels native to each platform, content that resonates because it reflects real people, real moments, and real conversations.
Working at the intersection of brand purpose and social culture, you'll create content that sits naturally alongside the creators, conversations, and trends your audience already follows. You understand that the most effective brand content doesn't feel like brand content at all. It feels honest, relevant, and worth sharing.
We're looking for someone who is culturally plugged in, creatively resourceful, and comfortable producing content end to end. Someone who can spot a content opportunity, concept it quickly, produce it with care, and deliver it while it's still relevant. Success means content that people genuinely want to engage with, that strengthens brand affinity, and that drives saves, shares, comments, and conversation.
Concept, shoot, edit, and produce social-first content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Stories, static, and emerging formats.
Develop content ideas that translate brand purpose and product messaging into authentic, platform-native moments that audiences relate to and want to share.
Create lo-fi, high-impact content using a mix of smartphone, DSLR, and simple lighting and production setups, prioritising authenticity over polish.
Storyboard and present content concepts, clearly articulating the creative idea and platform rationale.
Stay current with social trends, viral formats, platform features, creator culture, and emerging content styles, flagging relevant opportunities to the team and translating them into content ideas.
Produce reactive and real-time content that connects the brand to cultural moments and trending conversations while staying true to its voice and values.
Edit and adapt content across formats and platforms, reimagining a single shoot or asset in multiple ways to maximise reach and relevance (using Premiere Pro, CapCut, and native platform editing tools).
Collaborate with social media managers to align content with publishing calendars, campaign timelines, and community engagement priorities.
Support shoots and content production involving content creators, influencers, and real people, ensuring the process is inclusive, respectful, and representative.
Experiment with new formats, techniques, and creative approaches, sharing what works and what doesn't with the wider team.
Use Gen AI tools to support content creation, from ideation and visual references to editing and copy exploration.
Ensure all content meets platform specifications, brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and compliance requirements.
A portfolio demonstrating 2–4 years of social content creation, with examples of platform-native work that generated genuine audience engagement (shares, saves, comments, conversation).
Technical confidence across the content creation process: concepting, shooting, editing, and publishing, with comfort moving between smartphone and DSLR setups.
Solid editing skills in Premiere Pro, Canva, CapCut, or equivalent, with the ability to adapt content across formats and platforms.
Fluency in social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels), including an understanding of what performs, why, and how content is discovered and shared.
A feel for cultural relevance, with the ability to spot trending moments, formats, and conversations and turn them into content ideas quickly.
Experience creating content for consumer brands, with an understanding of how to communicate product or brand messages in a way that feels genuine and relatable rather than forced.
The ability to work at social speed, managing your time and priorities to deliver quality content on tight turnarounds.
A collaborative, proactive attitude, with a willingness to pitch in across different types of content and production needs.
An interest in inclusive content creation, including authentic representation in casting, imagery, and storytelling.
Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Basic proficiency with Gen AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL-E) to support ideation, mood boarding, visual exploration, and content iteration.
An agentic approach to your work: ability to self-organise, break down creative tasks, find efficient solutions, and deliver independently.
Willingness to experiment with AI tools as part of the content creation process, understanding when they add value and when human creativity and judgement are needed.
Understanding of AI limitations, with an eye for outputs that feel authentic versus generic.
Qualifications: Formal degrees are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts. Experience can be gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning.
Experience working on beauty, personal care, wellness, or lifestyle brands.
Experience in an in-house agency, embedded studio, or social-specialist content team.
Motion graphics or animation skills (After Effects or similar).
Photography skills and experience with still content for social.
Experience creating content that addresses topics such as body confidence, self-esteem, or inclusivity.
Familiarity with social analytics and how performance data informs creative decisions.
Experience with accessibility in content creation (captions, alt text, inclusive design).
Experience working with or alongside content creators and influencers.
