For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Content Creation Manager, Prayer Mobilization to provide strategic and hands-on leadership to deepen and expand external prayer support for IJM’s work. As part of prayer mobilization strategy, this role will also develop spiritual formation resources to deepen engagement with Christian audiences and enhance the experience of prayer partners. The Content Creation Manager will report to the Chief Resources Officer.
This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Chief Resources Officer and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Enterprise Planning
Develop enterprise strategies to deepen and expand prayer support for the mission as part of the annual planning process
Build realistic plans and budgets to achieve prayer mobilization strategies in collaboration with leaders who are content contributors and leaders who are the primary users of the content
Global Prayer Gathering
Partner with program leaders to develop and refine messaging for the Global Prayer Gathering
Review speaker presentations, facilitate rehearsals, and ensure alignment with messaging framework
Engage leaders across the organization on participant recruitment and ensure teams have relevant messaging
Provide coaching and hands-on support throughout the Global Prayer Gathering for the speakers
Spiritual Formation Resources
Conduct assessment across teams to identify needs and opportunities for spiritual formation content for external audiences
Develop spiritual formation content for Christian audiences leveraging strength of internal resources
Assist in the development of funding proposals that highlight IJM’s commitment to spiritual formation
Prayer Content Pipeline
Conduct assessment across teams on prayer content and develop plan to strengthen the pipeline
Manage the Global Prayer Channel content pipeline on Viva Engage, streamlining prayer content collection from field teams.
Curate and distribute timely, externally shareable prayer content across constituent communications, donor engagement, prayer gatherings, and major events.
Ensure prayer content is spiritually substantive, operationally accurate, and aligned with program priorities.
Prayer Integration into Acquisition, Journeys, Product Development
Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, and Development teams to integrate prayer invitations into donor acquisition, constituent journeys, and Christian-facing products
Ensure prayer offers are clear, consistent, and aligned with IJM’s theological and missional framework, supporting unified brand engagement.
Leveraging Prayer Networks
Cultivate and steward strategic external prayer network partnership to expand and deepen external prayer support for IJM programs
Support co-hosted prayer events and collaborative initiatives, including Pray for Justice Tour in partnership with 24-7 Prayer network
Curate content to strengthen engagement with prayer networks providing a win/win for the network and IJM
Participation in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.
Bachelor’s degree;
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant work experience;
Excellent writing capabilities and proven track record of developing messaging frameworks;
Preferred experience in coaching speakers and co-creating presentations;
A passion for prayer and spiritual formation demonstrated in either professional or volunteer work;
Proven ability to work with a diverse team of professionals;

*What is a statement of faith?
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
