Content & Copywriter

OVERALL PURPOSE

The Content & Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling, high-quality content that supports Lula's brand, marketing campaigns, customer acquisition, and organic growth objectives.

This is a hands-on content production role focused on developing content across digital, brand, and commercial channels. The role works closely with both the Content & Organic Growth Manager and Creative Lead to bring campaigns, thought leadership, customer stories, and marketing initiatives to life through clear, engaging, and effective copy.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can adapt their style across formats and audiences, balancing creativity with commercial impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation

• Write and develop high-quality content across a variety of mediums, including websites, landing pages, blogs, and email marketing campaigns. 
• Produce impactful customer case studies, thought leadership pieces, and sales enablement materials, supporting internal communications as needed. 

Campaign Copywriting

• Translate core campaign concepts into clear, compelling copy that resonates with target audiences across multiple marketing channels. This includes crafting engaging social media content, advertising copy, promotional materials, and impactful brand storytelling to ensure seamless campaign messaging execution. 

Organic Content Production

• Drive organic acquisition objectives by producing and optimising SEO-focused content, as well as refreshing existing material for maximum impact. 
• Develop educational, subject-matter-expert content and draft thought leadership pieces for senior executives. 

Content Publishing & Maintenance

• Publish and maintain accurate, up-to-date digital content across various platforms, ensuring strict alignment with brand guidelines. 
• Manage all ongoing content updates and actively support content audits and optimisation initiatives. 

Research & Insights

• Conduct research, gather insights, and interview customers and internal subject matter experts to strengthen content quality and credibility. 
• Stay well-informed on SME, fintech, and business trends relevant to Lula’s audience. 

Website & CMS Management

• Publish and maintain content across Lula's website and content platforms, managing uploads, formatting, metadata, redirects, and updates. 
• Ensure all published material adheres to SEO and brand best practices while supporting ongoing website optimisation initiatives. 

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 2–5 years' experience in copywriting, content marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats.
• Experience creating digital content for websites, email, social media, and marketing campaigns.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear and engaging content.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability.
• Ideally some experience in fintech, financial services, technology, or B2B marketing
• Familiarity with SEO content writing principles is advantageous 
• Experience interviewing customers or subject matter experts is advantageous
• Experience using content management systems (CMS) is a bonus.
