POSITION TITLE: Container Unloader
REPORTS TO: Nick Robinson/Jack Romeiro
SUPERVISES: FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT
FUNCTION: Responsible for manually unloading deliveries in the receiving area, sorting incoming materials, and palletizing inventory and supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unloading and sorting materials from overseas containers and other local deliveries
- Labeling and scanning inventory labels once materials are sorted.
- Help sustain 100% accuracy of bulk inventory locations.
- Auditing of aisles within the building for location accuracy
- If needed this position will flex into other warehouse/receiving roles (unloading, trash, fabric, etc.)
- Improve the cleanliness of the building.
- Plastic, cardboard, pallets
- Aisles are maintained for safety and efficiency.
- Fire exits to be kept clear.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to read and understand paperwork (parts, locations, special instructions/notes)
- Able to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately to ensure accuracy and hit customer ship dates.
- Lift 50lbs+
- Repetitive lifting/carrying of items 1-50lbs+ from floor level up to table or chest level.
- Able to use hand jacks to move pallets of material (250+lbs)
- Multi-tasking (able to manage multiple orders while still making deadlines)
