As part of a dynamic new team, you'll have the chance to collaborate with diverse cultures, engage with overseas customers, and deepen your understanding of global customs processes. You'll be joining an energized, expanding group, working closely with our FIJI Water colleagues. This role presents endless opportunities to build strong relationships with global partners and contribute to the company's success.
This position will be based at our Tucson, AZ office and working a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office.
Job Description
- Oversee and maintain the planning processes for empty containers, ensuring a balance between supply and demand while managing stock levels
- Track container stocks at origin and destination, identifying deficits and surpluses, and determining corrective action
- Track container dwell times at origin and destination, identifying long-stays and deviations to container turn-times, and determining corrective action
- Ensure daily container movements are accurately recorded in tracking systems, including NPDL and terminal systems, and resolving EDI errors in a timely manner
- Organize the repositioning of equipment between locations as needed
- Manage the off-hiring process for equipment
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all equipment-related purchase orders and invoices
Qualifications
- Experience in a container shipping role
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning abilities with a process-driven mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, effective interactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with advanced Excel skills
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of productivity
- A proactive team player with a positive, customer-focused attitude
