Job DescriptionOverview:
Wonderful Citrus is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Supervisor to work closely with the accounting and financial teams supporting the import operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial recording, reconciliation, and analysis of import-related transactions that includes duties, freight, broker fees, inventory valuation, and compliance with applicable regulations.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Record, track, and reconcile all operational documentation against accounting records.
- Review and validate invoices.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to resolve discrepancies related to quantities, costs, or timing.
- Support month-end close activities related to import transactions, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, federal, and international trade regulations as they relate to financial reporting.
- Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for all import-related accounting activities.
- Assist in preparing reports and analysis related to costs, variances, and identifying trends.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities related to import accounting, controls, and reporting.
Pay Range: $20,000MXN – $25,000MXN per month. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
QualificationsHere’s what you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to import accounting, logistics, supply chain, or landed cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles related to inventory, accruals, and cost allocation.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
