Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to act as CPI Data Lead. The CPI Data Leader will lead the strategy, delivery, and modernization of the Unified Cross Consumer Data & Insights ecosystem. This role is accountable for building the next-generation Authorized Data Source (ADS) platform and driving cloud migration efforts that serve as the enterprise foundation for all consumer data products.
Acting as a key enabler of the firm's consumer data strategy, this leader ensures the delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient platforms that unlock business value, strengthen risk and control posture, and accelerate time-to-insights. The role will oversee a $20M+ portfolio and a global engineering organization of 100+ resources. Close partnership with LOB Data teams, Architecture, and the CTO organization will be essential to align migration priorities with enterprise Data Center exit plans and modern target-state architectures.
In this role, you will:
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and develop a global team of engineering managers and technical leads. Define and execute the strategic roadmap for ADS and cloud modernization supporting enterprise consumer data initiatives. Build alignment with senior business and technology leaders on priorities, investments, and long-term data platform strategy.
Delivery & Execution
Ensure delivery of critical commitments tied to enterprise priorities and regulatory expectations. Guide the creation of actionable roadmaps and ensure disciplined execution across multiple programs. Drive engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams.
Technology & Architecture
Oversee the design and development of secure, resilient, and scalable data solutions-both in-house and with third-party providers. Partner with Architecture and CTO teams to lead CPI applications migration planning and alignment with cloud and data center exit strategies.
Risk, Controls & Governance
Set and enforce risk management standards across engineering teams. Ensure platforms meet all required controls, including data governance, security, availability, and resilience. Support key risk initiatives and remediation programs.
Financial & Resource Management
Manage a technology portfolio of $20M+ and optimize strategic resourcing across global teams with 100+ resources. Lead workforce planning, talent strategy, and recruitment for critical engineering skills.
Collaboration & Influence
Influence across the enterprise-business leaders, data partners, architects, and technology executives-to drive adoption of target-state data platforms. Lead teams to achieve measurable outcomes that support enterprise transformation.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- 5+ years of Financial Industry experience, specially within Consumer Banking and Consumer Lending Products
- 4+ years of Product Management experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Strategy, Data Migration, and enterprise data modernization initiatives
- 4+ years of experience with Cloud technologies including good understanding of GenAI
- 3+ years of experience of Strong Data Governance including implementation using a tool
- Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership
- Experience in providing thought-leadership, expertise to formulate and execute on major strategies to develop/deliver robust and scalable solutions
- Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure
- Ability to develop and execute business vision, strategies, and goals

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$215,000.00 - $355,000.00
